In the face of a harshening economic climate, innovation becomes an emergency and an opportunity. This conclusion was drawn by the specialist packaging users in the 2012 Pack Experts Committee, which assembled on 26 January for the EMBALLAGE exhibition.
The 2012 Pack Experts Committee gathers 13 leading experts from the biggest international groups in their sectors (e.g. Food, Health, Hygiene-Beauty, Retailers, Industrial goods), as well as ECO-EMBALLAGES*.
The purpose of this first meeting, moderated by EMBALLAGE Consultant Annette FREIDINGER, was to define the criteria that will distinguish the 2012 innovations submitted by manufacturers of packaging, machinery and services for EMBALLAGE 2012.
- How does innovation create value?
- Economic value, use value, appeal value, purchase provoking value…
- How does it reduce constraints and cut costs?
- Packaging innovation is a real opportunity for a brand and a strategic lever to conquer market share.
This thinking and questioning will guide the Pack Experts Committee during the selection process for the 2012 innovations presented by EMBALLAGE 2012 exhibitors.
