Created by the Paris Region as specific site dedicated to design le Lieu du Design was set up in 2009. Since it has been understood that there was a need to elaborate a genuine strategy for design’s presence on in the Paris region and to invent a site promoting industrial design and eco-design serving a sustainable development scheme, that there was an interest in uniting design’s various structures and actors in a single location.
