Every day we come across different types of packaging. But do we really know their different functions?

The main purpose of packaging is to protect and preserve the products contained.
Packaging is also used for hygienic purposes, namely to prevent the product from drying and the formation of mould.
Product packaging makes transporting a product from the factory to its place of sale, and on to the customer’s storage facilities, much easier.
In addition to its primary role, packaging is a marketing tool, which aims to attract the customers’ attention and please. This develops the impulse to buy.
Packaging has other essential functions: informative (content, composition, etc.), storage optimisation, compliance with standards.
